Toppitzer Funeral Home offers every family the opportunity to select services unique to their needs. There is no such thing as a typical or standard service because each life remembered is unique. Traditional Burial

Earth burial is the choice of most families. Few realize the options available. Families may choose from Immediate Burial without attending rites or services to a traditional funeral with viewing, religious observation and graveside commendation which may include military honors. We offer a range of merchandise which best suit your needs. Caskets, Vaults and Memorial Packages are available and can be seen in our resource center.

Cremation

Cremation is one alternative to traditional burial that many families choose. At Toppitzer Funeral Home we understand the importance for families to have options and offer services personalized to meet your needs.

Resource Room

Our funeral resource center allows families the opportunity to plan every aspect of their service at one convenient location. We have a selection of caskets, vaults, cremation urns, jewelry, and memorials available for your consideration. There are publications and resources dealing with death and dying issues, planning guides for services, floral displays, luncheon offerings, music selections and other personalization opportunities. Horse Drawn Hearse

Toppitzer Funeral Home uses a replica of an 18th century horse drawn hearse upon request for funeral processions. The original horse drawn hearse can be seen in the Museum of Mourning Art located within the Mount Vernon office.

Chapel

The Williamsburg Chapel is conveniently located within the Mount Vernon office on the grounds of Arlington Cemetery. Our non-denominational chapel is a distinctive setting for viewings and memorial services. Our beautiful chapel has even been used for weddings, and at Christmas time every year a free holiday concert is held there.

Guests and family members will appreciate avoiding the difficulties associated with long funeral processions. The beautiful gardens of the Monticello Mausoleum, which can be seen through the chapel’s Palladian windows, a Classical revival conducive to the peaceful and dependable atmosphere we strive to provide.
